SHOBI-SEIKO-KANAZAWA Anniversary Special Jazz Concert

On August 15, I performed at the “SHOBI-SEIKO-KANAZAWA Anniversary Special Jazz Concert” at SHOBI Vario Hall.

The concert celebrated two milestones: the 100th anniversary of SHOBI Gakuen and the 10th anniversary of Seiko Summer Jazz Camp.

I joined the SHOBI Special Jazz Ensemble, formed by SHOBI faculty members, current students, and alumni.

Also taking part were JAZZ-21, the Kanazawa Junior Jazz Orchestra, whose members have shared a long-standing musical connection with SHOBI, and the Seiko Summer Jazz Camp All Stars.

It was a day that brought together musicians from different generations and backgrounds. Through jazz, I could feel both the friendships built over the years and the connections that will continue into the future.

The SHOBI Special Jazz Ensemble is also scheduled to perform at Kanazawa Jazz Street next month!

Next time, the stage will be in Kanazawa. I’m looking forward to playing with this wonderful group again.

Thank you to everyone who came, and to all the musicians and organizers who made the concert possible!
